I have never played Roulette before so I had no clue how to do this review so I jumped up on Wikipedia and learned the basics of the game play. The Help section in the game should cover the basics too. Platinum Roulette gives you the chance to play French/European Roulette in a great little app. The interface is quite nice and I recommend using a stylus for playing the game. In the full version of the game you start with $1000 and place your bets, cross your fingers and spin the wheel. The app forces the screen to landscape mode which works well for this game.

There are various type of bets you can place in this game, its divided in to 2 main division. Inside bets typically have higher payouts with lesser odds at winning and Outside bets typically have smaller payouts with better odds at winning.

Inside bets :

    * Straight-up : ( Payout 35:1 ) a single number bet. The chip is placed entirely on the middle of a number square.
    * Split : ( Payout 17:1 ) a bet on two adjoining numbers, either on the vertical or horizontal (as in 14-17 or 8-9). The chip is placed on the line between these numbers.
    * Street : ( Payout 11:1 ) a bet on three numbers on a single horizontal line (as in 4-5-6). The chip is placed on the edge of the line of a number at the end of the line.
    * Corner (or square) : ( Payout 8:1 ) a bet on four numbers in a square layout (as in 11-12-14-15). The chip is placed at the horizontal and vertical intersection of the lines between the four numbers.
    * Six Line : ( Payout 6:1 ) a bet on two adjoining streets, with the chip placed at the corresponding intersection, as if in between where two street bets would be placed.

Outside bets:

    * 1 to 18 : ( Payout 1:1 ) a bet on one of the first low eighteen numbers coming up.
    * 19 to 36 : ( Payout 1:1 ) a bet on one of the last high eighteen numbers coming up.
    * Red or Black : ( Payout 1:1 ) a bet on which color the roulette wheel will show.
    * Even or Odd : ( Payout 1:1 ) a bet on an even or odd number.
    * Dozen Bets : ( Payout 2:1 ) a bet on the first (1-12), second (13-24), or third group (25-36) of twelve numbers.
    * Column Bets : ( Payout 2:1 ) a bet on all 12 numbers on any of the three vertical lines (such as 1-4-7…. to 34). The chip is placed on the space below the final number in this string.

You can cycle through the available chip denominations by clicking on it the available chips are 1,5,10,20,50,100 ( i would have liked them to be in different colors so its easy to know what you have place on the table ) plus once you place the bets on the table you cannot take a bet back ( you do have the option to clear the table of all bets ). One thing that I missed was that there was no sound for spinning the wheel, adding that would be a great bonus for the overall appeal of the game. Once you plunder away your $1000 you are broke and can still play by pawning your valuables from your tux to your house, the sad part is you only get a buck for anything that you place as a bet. Once you are nothing to pawn you are kicked out of the casino. The also offers various Roulette Systems like Martingale, Anti-Martingale, Great Martingale, d’Alembert I have no idea what they are experts feel free to let us know what they are via the comments.

So to sum it up its a great game that you can pick up and enjoy any time. Its quite easy to learn the basics and play the game, You can pause and return to a game any time. The most surprising thing about this game was the Price and it is not one of those nasty surprise, this full version of the game only costs $2.99 !!! Its great to see developers breaking the usual heavy price tag on windows mobile games, and I hope to see more devs do this in the future. You can also try the DEMO / LITE version which has some in-house ads on the Roulette table and you start off with just $50.
